Hydraflex’s Modular Manifold System (MMS) has been created to provide an effective and versatile range of components for manifolds specifically in liquid cooling applications but is also suitable for use in a variety of other industries.

The system has been designed for ease of transportation and connectivity with many connections made without the use of any tools, allowing for building and alterations to be carried out with minimal fuss. The range consists of the most frequently required components for a manifold design from the tube to a choice of fittings including elbows, tee pieces and complimented by valves and sensors.

The choice of Hygienic tube pipework ensures that the pipe has a food grade internal finish whilst providing high corrosion resistance with suitability for high temperature applications.

As this is a bespoke modular system, there are myriad of other options that may be available in addition to those listed here.

 

Modular Manifold System - Hydraflex

Construction

The main feed of the MMS is manufactured from food grade 316L smooth bore stainless steel Hygienic tube in a choice of lengths and bore sizes, each terminated in the appropriate Hygienic flange that can be connected by means of a hand tightened clamp. Bore sizes of DN40 (1 ½”) to DN100 (4”) are available in the following lengths.
 

Connections are also manufactured from 316 stainless steel with Hygienic flange connections in 316 stainless steel, with valves and sensors being manufactured from 314 or 316 stainless steel.

The termination of the tube in Hygienic flanges allows for positioning of take-off points and adaptors to be aligned exactly as required by individual system designs, with Hygienic clamps locking these pieces in position.

Connection of the pipework/manifold is achieved by the use of a stainless-steel flexible hose assembly that can be terminated in a range of stainless steel flanges, such as Hygienic, ANSI 150, Table D, Table E or bespoke. Other connections may be available on request.

Applications

The Modular Manifold System (MMS) was primarily designed for liquid cooling systems in Data Centres however this system lends itself for use in a wide cross section of industries where convenience and simplicity are beneficial to the end user, providing that system working parameters are within that of the components of the MMS.
 

Additional Features

In addition to the pipework configuration options are a number of features that can be included in the MMS. These include isolation valves, either ball or butterfly type, additional outlet ports for pressure transducers, sensors or flow meters. To compliment the system, the design allows for the connection of quick disconnect couplings (QDC) and the Hydraflex DataCool silicone hose assemblies for easy connection to racks, cabinets and tanks.
