2013 – 2017 – Business Management BA Hons with Year in Industry at The University of Lincoln 

I studied Business Management at the University of Lincoln to understand the mechanics of business operations in a ever changing economic climate. My placement year was spent at Enterprise Rent-a-Car, understanding the business model and management.

From graduating with a 2:1, I joined a company in the automotive industry which soon led to my promotion as an Operations Manager for their American office based in Boston, MA.  where I was able to apply the theory and knowledge base learnt from university and my placement year. I managed a workforce of 50 with hitting key targets to stabilise and increase the sales to a further 20%. 

It was at this point; I was approached by Hydraflex who were seeking someone with experience in stock management and international procurement, with rewarding opportunities of growth. After several discussions with Duncan MacBain, founder of the Hydraflex Group, I was offered the role of Technical Consultant.

Since starting at Hydraflex, I was quickly thrown into different aspects and areas of the business, from client meetings to international procurement. I have implemented procedures to improve stock accuracy, involved in the development of new products and the growth of leading sales. I have since taken on the role as an Operations Manager, overseeing the company’s day to day operations and workshop, while still being heavily involved in customer care and purchasing.
