Hydraflex's Oxygen Welding Hose is a specialised flexible hose designed for the safe and efficient transportation of oxygen for welding and cutting applications, as well as arc welding using shielding gas and other related processes​​.

Construction and Compliance

The hose is meticulously constructed with a core of EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer rubber), which is black and smooth, providing excellent resistance to extreme temperatures, oxygen, and other chemicals. A textile spiral reinforcement adds to the hose's strength and durability, while an external EPDM blue smooth or ribbed rubber coating protects against external elements and wear. The hose complies with ISO 3821 (formerly EN559) standards, and its assemblies are crafted to meet BS EN 1256 standards. All hoses are assembled in the UK by an ISO9001 accredited company, ensuring quality and reliability. The hose can be customised with brass fittings and steel ferrules that are mechanically crimped, providing a secure and robust assembly. Additionally, safety check valves (HCV) conforming to ISO5175 standards can be included​​.


Hydraflex’s Oxygen Welding Hose is ideal for welding and cutting operations, arc welding using shielding gas, and other related applications/processes. However, it's not suitable for LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), MPS (Methylacetylene-Propadiene Stabilized), and CNG (Compressed Natural Gas)​​.

Benefits and Features

With a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C, this hose is built to withstand the rigours of welding applications in various environmental conditions. The hose has a safety factor of 3:1, indicating its high level of safety and reliability. The hose is also marked with continuous inkjet black letters providing necessary information like standard compliance, pressure rating, dimensions, and manufacturing details. The availability of smooth cover and 40 m lengths are additional features that cater to different user requirements​​.

Availability and Customisation

The Oxygen Welding Hose by Hydraflex is available either fitted or unfitted, based on customer requirements. Fitted assemblies primarily use brass parts, and customisation options extend to different fitting types, and also the provision for customers to have their standard header card for packaging. These customisation options allow for a wide range of configurations to meet diverse application needs​​.
