About the role
Learn a Trade, Start to Finish.
You’ll be trained in the whole process of metal hose fabrication — not just welding. With a view to becoming a qualified welder within 12–24 months, depending on aptitude and progress, working alongside our experienced fabrication team.
Programme length: 12 months core training (extends to 24 months for full qualification depending on individual progress)
Location: Northampton workshop, on-site
Requirements: Right to work in the UK, live within a Northampton postcode

Qualified Welder

Cutting & hose preparation
Measuring, cutting and preparing stainless steel hose ready for fitting.

Welding of end fittings
Hands-on welding training, fitting and joining end connectors to hose assemblies.

Testing & cleaning of finished assemblies
Pressure testing and cleaning each assembly to specification before it’s signed off.

Packaging & safe transportation
Preparing finished assemblies for dispatch, packaged correctly for safe transit.

Health & safety and methods during hose production
Safe working practices and production methods across every stage of the process.

City & Guilds qualification (Fully funded)
Following a satisfactory first 12 months of practical experience, you’ll move onto your fully funded City & Guilds (C&G 3268) welding qualification at Northampton College’s Booth Lane campus.
